The last weekend was the Goodwood Revival. You can read more about it on the Goodwood website. We had lots of guests who stayed in the hotel because of this festival. One of these were a german couple from Frankfurt. I talked with them at dinner and they invited me to come with them to the Goodwood Estate. On Friday there is always a cricket game and food and drinks are offered. Unfortunately this year it wasn't free anymore. ;) But the clothes and the great atmosphere compensated for it. There were already many cars and I took some photos. :) The weather was also great and at the end was a short airshow with Spitfires. It got also quite exciting when we witnessed a hit-and-run driver. We took a photo of the numberplate. Just our luck!
After that we went to a english Inn and had a delicious dinner. It was a relaxing lovely day. I'm glad I took the offer from the couple. A nice acquaintance and a good oppurtunity.
Letztes Wochenende hat das Goodwood Revival stattgefunden. Ihr könnt mehr darüber auf der Goodwood Homepage oder hier lesen. Viele der Hotelgäste waren Besucher dieses Festivals. Unter anderem ein deutsches Pärchen aus Frankfurt. Ich habe mich mit ihnen während dem Abendessen unterhalten und sie luden mich ein mit ihnen zum Goodwood Gelände zu fahren. Am Freitag findet dort immer ein Cricket Spiel statt und es gibt Essen und Trinken. Leider war dies nicht so wie in den Vorjahren umsonst. ;) Aber die Klamotten und die Atmosphäre haben das wett gemacht. Es waren auch schon einige der Autos da und ich habe einige Fotos gemacht. :) Das Wetter war auch gut und am Ende gab es noch eine kleine Flugshow mit Spitfires. Es wurde dann auch nochmal spannend, als wir eine Fahrerflucht beobachteten. Haben dann auch gleich ein Foto vom Nummernschild gemacht. Tja, Pech gehabt!
Danach sind wir noch in einen Englischen Inn gegangen und hatte ein sehr leckeres Abendessen. Es war ein entspannter toller Tag. Ich bin wirklich froh, dass ich das Angebot von dem deutschen Pärchen angenommen habe. Eine nette Bekanntschaft und eine tolle Gelegenheit.
